• Park Slope spots Talde, Pork Slope, and Thistle Hill Tavern are offering carbo-loading specials on Saturday, November 3, the eve of the New York marathon. One such deal: $4 double orders of tater tots at Pork Slope. After the race, all restaurants are offering half off drinks and a complimentary glass of Champagne, and for finishers with medals only, Thistle Hill is offering a $20 rib-eye steak, Talde is offering “victory ramen” for $13, and anything pork is $5 at Pork Slope. PizzArte isn’t wasting their gourds on jack-o’-lanterns: On Halloween, they will offer a pumpkin pizza, squash gnocchi, and a cocktail called the Pumpkin Smash (pumpkin purée, Jack Daniels, amaretto, and lime juice). [Grub Street]
