Details are few at this point, but a new restaurant featuring California cuisine called Kitchen Story (3499 16th Street) is replacing the recently shuttered, pan-Asian Tangerine at the corner of 16th and Sanchez. We’ve reached out to the new owners about the menu and concept, but so far all we know is that they’ll be open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and they’re aiming to open in November. A remodel is underway, and this will likely become another popular brunch spot just as Tangerine was, with its sidewalk seating. As for Tangerine, they are still supposed to be relocating nearby, though they haven’t yet inked a deal or made an announcement. (We had earlier surmised that they may be interested in The Patio Café space on Castro, but that place remains, as it ever was, “available.”) [Grub Street]
