Lunch today for the hundreds of hungry and homeless who turn out at St. John’s Hospice near 12th and Race streets for daily meals will be on Hunt.Fish.Feed, a coordinated effort from Sportsman Channel, Comcast and the non-profit Back on My Feet. The outreach program founded by the Sportsman Channel leverages game meats and fish donated by hunters and anglers to feed those struggling with hunger. Today’s meal, venison tacos prepared on-site by Sportsman Channel TV host and chef Scott Leysath, will utilize 100 pounds of meat donated by the Mule Deer Foundation. They expect to serve upwards of 350 people between noon and 1 p.m.
