According to the sign taped to the glass on the front door, Growlers, the re-do at the corner of 8th and Fitzwater streets, where Little Bar and its predecessor Vesuvio once stood, will debut Friday. Jason Evenchik, who owns Vintage, Time, and Bar, teamed with former Starr fleet food and beverage manager Jay Willard to bring the neighborhood corner bar to life. The property underwent some minor renovations, including the addition of windows that open out to the street, and swapping out letters that spelled Vesuvio on the exterior for ones that say Growlers. The bar will feature 12 rotating taps, plus additional bottles, and cans. Kitchen operations are being headed by barbecue champ and former Spamps and Blue Bell Country Club chef Jerry Donahue, who will rock an affordable menu of seasonally-inspired pub fare.
