Chef Bridget Batson hinted to us a couple weeks ago that there were changes in the works at Gitane on Claude Lane, in addition to a few recent changes at Claudine. Now the Scoop reports that Batson’s husband, Patrick Kelly, most recently the chef at Angèle in Napa, will be joining her in the kitchen as co-chef. Together they’ll be shifting the menu away from the Iberian fare Batson’s been doing for a couple of years, and focusing more on the region of Andalusia, Spain. Also, there’s going to be a new, five-course tasting menu, which will be the only option if you’re sitting upstairs, for $65. Downstairs and on the front patio there will still be a ten-item à la carte menu. Look for all these changes to take effect November 9. [Scoop]
