Bushwick’s transformation continues: Chocolate company Fine & Raw is set to open a 2,500-square-foot factory and store two blocks from the Morgan L stop in mid-October. The four-year-old chocolatier, which previously outsourced production, will start importing beans from the Dominican Republic, Madagascar, Venezuela, and Bolivia and will make all of their own chocolate —bean to bar — in house, says owner Daniel Sklaar.

The factory will host tours and include a section for a “Chocolate Jungle” complete with two cocoa trees, so “we can take people through the whole process,” says Sklaar. If you would prefer to make your own chocolate, Sklaar and a team of chocolatiers will show you how: In the next year, Sklaar plans to launch a series of classes, including a weeklong intensive seminar.
