The last of the year’s food fests are here! Saturday marks the eighth annual Fall Fest, hosted by San Francisco Magazine in Justin Herman Plaza. As we discussed earlier, and as in previous years, this should be a fun day of food and drink booths, chef demos, drink seminars, and plenty of wine. Tickets can still be purchased here for $95, and the fun goes from noon to 4 p.m.

Also on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. there will be a miniature version of Oakland’s Eat Real, happening for the first time at the Marin County Mart in Larkspur. It’s called Eat Real Autumn Fest, and it promises to be a lot like Oakland’s version, but much smaller and hopefully less crowded. There will be street food vendors, oysters, sausages, beer, food from El Huarache Loco, and DIY demos on pickling, curing meats, making jam, and more.

And, we should point out that the locale is appropriate to Eat Real because the festival’s founder, Anya Fernald, is opening Belcampo Meat Company shortly at the Marin County Mart.
