We mentioned the other day how the upcoming November issue of Esquire honors State Bird Provisions as one of the country’s Best New Restaurants of 2012 (a second such national list honor for them, with Bon App being the first). Well, now we discover that they weren’t the only S.F. reps who flew to New York for that party: AQ is also on the Esquire list. Congrats to owner Matt Semmelhack and chef Mark Liberman, who both sat at a table with Drew Nieperont at the ceremony. Critic John Mariani’s annual roundup for the mag is still not online, but look for it soon. And then we’ll see who makes the cut on Alan Richman’s list for GQ, and if State Bird can go for the trifecta.
