Coupa’s burger

Beverly Hills’ link in the Venezuelan Coupa Cafe chain tells us it launched a new “Burger Wednesday” special this month, following its win of the top spot in Patch’s reader’s choice survey for “Best Burger and Fries” back in March. Every Wednesday, Coupa now offers its burger and frites, together with a choice of beer (Sam Adams Oktoberfest and Heineken) or wine (Campanile Pinot Grigio or Veramonte Merlot), for sixteen bucks (normally the burger and fries are $13, beer and wine between $5.50 and $8.00). The restaurant also tells us Adam Sandler often appears for the burger here, sometimes repeatedly for days on end. Quite the endorsement, considering he’s clearly a man of, um, great taste. Maybe we’ll just stick to the tequenos!
