Bourgeois Pig BK Launches New Menu; Earl’s Court Closed for ‘Renovations’

The Bourgeois Pig in Carroll Gardens is launching a new food and cocktail menu from chef Sother Teague. The New Orleans–inspired menu will feature Cajun cheddar fondue, red beans rarebit, and Sazerac fondue, a dessert fondue with notes of absinthe and rye. New cocktails include the Sazerac à la Saison (Rittenhouse rye, Ron Zacapa, Smith and Cross Rum, Peychauds, cinnamon syrup, absinthe) and the Hurricane La Fonte (Smith and Cross, Goslings, passion fruit, lime, Branca Menta, Angostura bitters). • FiDi food court Earl’s Court has quietly closed for renovations. With a website also under construction, it’s anyone’s guess as to when —or if — the eateries will reopen. [Midtown Lunch]

Landhaus recently announced that it will be the winter resident of the People’s Pop space in Park Slope, and now there’s word that the “farm to sandwich” vendor will open a full restaurant inside South Williamsburg’s the Woods. In addition to the maple-bacon sticks they’re famous for, Landhaus at the Woods will serve an expanded menu that could include heritage pork chops, grass-fed beef cheeseburgers, lobster rolls, and mushroom sandwiches with cheddar-cheese sauce. • Just an ingredient or two away from the grilled-cheese-shop trend, La Maison Du Croque Monsieur opened in the East Village. The restaurant from the guys behind Jones Wood Foundry will serve classic croques with your choice of cheese, “new” croques, sweet croques, and breakfast croques. • Croissanteria, another single-item concept spot, is now open on Avenue A near 5th Street. As the name suggests, the bakery specializes in croissants and croissant sandwiches and is open from 7 a.m. to midnight. [EV Grieve]

• Hell’s Kitchen restaurant Ardesia will get into the Halloween spirit with a pumpkin carving contest on Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. The creator of the best jack-o’-lantern will win a $50 Ardesia gift certificate, but everyone can enjoy an unlimited selection of wine, beer, pretzels, and s’mores while participating. Pumpkin carving is $40 and includes a pumpkin, carving kit, drinks, and snacks. E-mail info@ardesia-ny.com or call 212-247-9191 to register. [Grub Street]
