You could argue that the novelty of chef’s collaborations started wearing a little thin after David Katz and company wrapped up dearly departed Meme’s last pig dinner back in July. Still, for sheer originality, Marcie Turney and Valerie Safran deserve props for their upcoming “Made With Moxie,” an all-women chef’s dinner, which takes place at their restaurant Barbuzzo on Sunday, October 21. It celebrates the release of author Charlotte Druckman’s new book Skirt Steak: Women Chefs on Standing the Heat and Staying in the Kitchen, and the two have assembled an incredibly impressive lineup of some of the city’s finest culinary talent to do so. Seven chefs in all, plus two top bartenders, will work together to turn out six courses with wine and cocktail pairings for $95 per person. Check out who’s participating, and what they are contributing to the feast straight ahead.
