Stonehaus Hauling Cheese and Charcuterie to Westlake Village, Opening October 14

A new enoteca called Stonehaus is opening in Westlake Village on October 14, set at the town’s 44-year-old fancy-pants Westlake Village Inn, which features vineyards among its palm trees and sandtraps. Housed (or is that haused?) in a free-standing, Tuscan-style building with a stone facade and chimney and an Italian tile roof, the new wine bar will upgrade the Conejo Valley scene with L.A. eats a la mode.

This means espresso, daily baked breads, and pastries in the morning, and a steady selection of wood-oven cooked pizzas, sandwiches, cheese, and charcuterie served from its neighboring restaurant, Mediteraneo, until the restaurant’s nightly conversion into a wine bar and tasting room suited to private dinners, weddings, and wine-pairing adventures.

Surrounded by the hotel’s oak groves, the space is geared towards European romance, with beaucoup outdoor seating on a patio aside a water fountain. The property will also sling wines bearing its own label, along with varietals from home and abroad from 6:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. daily.
