Two months after releasing a burger patty made from 100% bacon, Slater’s 50/50 manages what could be an even bigger felony in the eyes of the food police. The SoCal chain is now serving a bacon breakfast burger topped with an egg and book-ended by two glazed Krispy Kreme doughnuts, a take on the artery-clogging oddity first kicked-off, as far as we know, as a freak invention on the series Boondocks, where it was immortalized as “The Luther” in memory of the late, great Mr. Vandross.

Since then, this concept in mutant bacon burgers has worked its way into Paula Deen’s heart, an Illinois ballpark, onto a Minneapolis food truck, and of all places, in crunchy San Francisco, where it has been served in various forms at places including The Straw, Bender’s, and Dynamo Doughnuts. Now you can find this clock-stopper right in Orange County.

O.C. Register’s Fast Food Maven reports that Slater’s version is served over its half-bacon, half-beef 50/50 patty with American cheese and a sunny side up egg between two glazed doughnuts. To make a good/bad thing even better/worse, Slater’s only offers the thing in the morning on a limited time weekend breakfast menu available through the end of the year, which anyone who actually eats this thing will be lucky to see. The burger, if you’re in a gambling mood, is currently available in Anaheim and Huntington Beach.
