SF First Craft Spirits Carnival Hits Fort Mason In October

Wine events proliferate at Fort Mason, with countless, large-scale tastings held year round. Craft spirits, though thriving in Northern California for decades and experiencing a long overdue renaissance everywhere, are typically relegated to smaller industry and consumer tastings. The first ever SF Craft Spirits Carnival, debuting October 13-14 in Fort Mason’s Festival Pavilion, ambitiously offers a weekend of spirits tastings on a grand scale, set to a backdrop the organizers are calling a “Cirque-du-Soleil-type entertainment experience”. With 27 (and counting) California distillers represented alone, there’s also a much longer list of international brands, ranging from Scotch to mezcal. Tickets just went on sale here.
