Long before taquerias began blowing up nearly every corner in South Philly, and places like Distrito, El Rey and Lolita started turning tables, one of the best bets for Mexican around here was Santa Fe Burrito Company. And sadly, after ten-plus years of turning out pretty decent burritos, it’s called it quits. The Insider reports that owner Jordan Arnold retains ownership of the building on 11th Street where the Company used to build its burritos — the first location near 20th and Locust closed years ago — but won’t say what, if anything will come next. A Santa Fe location in Wynnewood is still up and running. [Insider]
