Used to be that people ate pizza to cure a hangover; now, thanks to the enterprising pizzamakers at Salvatore’s, it can give you one! Their Vignola Cherry Pizza, complete with dried Italian cherries soaked in vodka, requires an ID (and even rendered the chefs slightly buzzed upon first tasting).
If cherries aren’t for you, don’t despair. They plan to add two more booze-soaked pies to their menu shortly: the Drunken Pig, with Kahlua-marinated braised pork, ricotta cheese, caramelized Granny Smith apples, mozzarella cheese, and spicy hot honey; and Calabria Peach, topped with rum-infused fresh peaches.
And here we thought boozy milkshakes were innovative! How long before Pizza Hut adds vodka to their crusts?
