This week’s Globe Magazine showcases the governor’s favorite Berkshires destinations, and we’re gratified to see one of our very favorite spots on the list: Nudel! A while back, we featured the cozy Lenox haunt in our Food Chain (behold their “intense” cold carrot soup), and it seems that Patrick enjoys unwinding at the comfy-chic restaurant, too. He even gives them mushrooms!

He calls the divine little pasta bar “creative” and claims partial credit for their tasty ‘shrooms, saying that Nudel foragers have plucked some from his property. Patrick, who does indeed reside in the ‘shires part time, also says he’d like to live off the land someday: “When I get my life back … I’d like to get chickens, for the eggs, and maybe grow our own vegetables.” If Obama wins in November, he might have to wait a while.
