The meat-lover’s island paradise that is Meatopia happens this coming Saturday, and there’s good news for poor planners: There are still tickets available. Founder and former Grub-ster Josh Ozersky, whom you can see in this new event poster, has rounded up some big-name chefs to push his cause. Michael White will serve pork cheeks, April Bloomfield’s working on a whole hog, Noah Bernamoff is offering veal brisket, and there’s imported talent including Austin’s Aaron Franklin of Franklin Barbecue and Cleveland’s Jonathon Sawyer, who’s serving “scrambled brains and eggs” (full lineup here). The City of Meat makes its home on Randalls Island from 5 to 9 p.m.; tickets through Eventbrite.

More piggy fun takes place next weekend, with Farm on Adderly’s third annual pig roast at Sycamore. A whole hog is coming from Sullivan County Farms upstate; a plate of meat and sides is $25 — tickets here.

And if seafood is more your speed, there’s end-of-summer action on that front, too. In addition to the events we already told you about, we hear Um Segredo’s David Santos is doing an epic shrimp boil on Roosevelt Island in conjunction with Underground Eats. Think all-you-can-eat shrimp, clams, sausage, and sides, with endless PBR; tickets are $65.
