Regular Grub Street readers will recognize Hugh Merwin’s name. He’s been on the case of racist breastaurants, Motorino’s return to Brooklyn, Joël Robuchon’s numbered days in New York (and his run-in with French officials), the NoMad’s family meal, and more ramen news than you might think possible. That’s why we’re happy to introduce him as Grub Street’s newest editor. Some things you might not know about Hugh: He spent fifteen years cooking in professional kitchens, he was both a former oyster-shucking champion and a child magician, and his dog is named Kimchi.
