Last week, Prime Meats restaurateurs Frank Castronovo and Frank Falcinelli told Esquire’s Eat Like a Man that they were setting up a “new space” in Red Hook, but wouldn’t elaborate other than to say they’ve been “Frankin’ it” for a year. Now it turns out that an energetic fallout of Le Fooding folks descended on 372 Columbia Street last night for beer, Champagne, and an extended grilling session with Danny Bowien and the Prime Meats crew. How’d they wind up there? Well, the address, which includes a large outdoor space, is rumored to be the next restaurant from the Frankies 457 owners. It’s also just a stone’s throw from the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel toll plaza. [Earlier]
