This Monday, Larchmont Village will see the soft-opening of Coffee + Food, a bright and spacious cafe at the former Wild Oats space that wears it output on its sleeve (though it wisely scratched the name “Sustain Me”). Larchmont Buzz checks in with owners Mel Cain and Cyndi Finkle, the owner of the Sunday Night Dinner craft services operation and neighboring ArtWorks Studio. The coffee, tea, and grub here are said to be influenced by Cain’s Australian upbringing, with the baristas being trained by L.A.-Aussie Mark Baird of Longshot Coffee and serving its own proprietary roast coming from the land down under. And yes, they’ll even take you in and make you breakfast.
The menu includes Vegemite sandwiches and kale salads, plus original cupcake flavors and assorted baked goods from pastry chef Diana Sproveri, owner of Lollibakes. The cafe will soft-open Monday, and run Mondays through Saturdays 7:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.
