There’s no better way to start off the morning than with a drink…announcement. Chicago Craft Spirit Week is still in its nascent stages, but kicks off on next Monday, October 1. Dinners, educational liquor courses, open houses with distillers, etc., will all be, uh, on tap for the week. The flagship event of Craft Spirit Week: the Independent Spirits Expo. It will take place next Wednesday evening at the West Loop’s Carmichael’s Steakhouse, and will be even larger than last year’s. Expect even more spirits and cocktails, both regional and international, music, and drunken debauchery of all kinds.
