This week, New York notables focused on spending time with loved ones at the city’s bars and restaurants. Beyoncé and Jay-Z took in waterfront views at La Marina, Kate Hudson dined with her mom and fiancé at the Spotted Pig, and Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis had everyone noticing their new romance at the Lion, Overlook, and on city sidewalks. Perhaps the cooler weather is to blame. Stay tuned for some repeat appearances in this week’s roundup of celebrity dining straight ahead.

Benjamin Steak House: Avril Lavigne met with business colleagues for dinner Sunday night in the restaurant’s private wine room. She ordered Cabernet Sauvignon and later toasted to her engagement to Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger with a round of Sex on the Beach shots, thereby quashing the pregnancy rumors that have been swirling of late. DBGB Kitchen & Bar: Joseph Gordon-Levitt hung out at the East Village Daniel Boulud spot after hosting Saturday Night Live. He was joined by a host of 3rd Rock From the Sun fans who held signs outside the restaurant featuring catchphrases from the 2001 show that made him famous. [NYDN]

Dylan’s Candy Bar: Mariska Hargitay, Stacey Bendet, and Kelly Bensimon had the option of enjoying Frankenstein martinis at the after-party for Hotel Transylvania. The actress, designer, and New York City housewife brought their kids to a Saturday morning screening before continuing the family fun at the candy superstore. [NYDN]

Greenhouse: On Tuesday night, Wilmer Valderrama, Gabrielle Union, and Busta Rhymes wished Def Jam executive Shawn “Pecas” Costner a happy birthday at what seems to be a favorite spot for music-industry birthdays (see below). [NYDN]

La Marina: Beyoncé and Jay-Z ate crab cakes and chicken lollipops with Swizz Beats and Memphis Bleek in Inwood on Sunday. A bottle of D’usse cognac was on the table, but word is out on whether Beyoncé actually took sips. Let the pregnancy rumors continue. [Page Six/NYP]
