While plans to bring New York’s Eleven Madison Park to Chicago’s Alinea, and vice versa for a five-day restaurant swap has some saying that the pop-up trend is officially dead, others are looking at the switcheroo as inspiration for their own restaurant exchanges. Philly’s Marc Vetri tweeted yesterday, “I gotta say..this pretty damn cool and original! Any takers for a Vetri switch? Could be fun!” To which Boston’s Ken Oringer replied, “Clio — Vetri!,” referring to his Back Bay French endeavor. Vetri came back with, “Let’s talk.” Grub tried reaching out to Vetri, but hasn’t heard back, which makes us think that those talks might already be underway. [marcvetri/twitter; kenoringer/twitter]
