The Thomas Opens August 8th in Napa, Complete With Historic Fagiani’s Sign

They were just going to call it Fagiani’s, the name it held for almost 30 years before closing in 1974, but after some uproar (the family of its original owners think the name only brings back memories of the murder that happened there), the new owners are going with The Thomas. But they did go to the trouble of restoring the bar’s historic neon sign, and it will stay; the downstairs bar will be called Fagiani’s Bar at the Thomas, despite the uproar. The newly renovated space, with a second-floor dining room and rooftop terrace, will open next week, on August 8, and you can preview some of chef Brad Farmerie’s dishes now on Facebook. [Earlier]
