Longtime neighborhood favorite Tangerine (3499 16th Street at Sanchez) just announced via a sign on the door that they’re going to be closing at the end of August and moving to a new space “a few blocks away,” but we’re not sure where that might be. The Pacific Rim/fusion-y restaurant has hinted at some landlord troubles in the past, so this isn’t a total surprise, and the deal for the new space must not be inked or else they’d be announcing the address. Tablehopper got the tip, and it could, of course, be the recently vacated Blue (2337 Market Street), or perhaps even the former Luna at 558 Castro. Stay tuned as we investigate.
