Delayed Reactions to Steve Cuozzo’s Reynard Wine Rant

Quit wine-ing.

A few weeks back, Steve Cuozzo slammed the Reynard for its obscure French-only wine list, something that other people might call: originality. Today, Lee Campbell, wine director at Reynard, tells Eater, " ... it's like the old curmudgeon who doesn't get where progress is going ... I'm just flabbergasted that you don't see what is going on in the world around you." Even the Times chimes in: "Mr. Cuozzos tirade landed like a fat bug in a glass of fine Irouléguy blanc." So, yeah, his "Sour Grapes" sound more like old, saggy, wrinkly ones. [I'll Drink to That, Eater, NYT]
