We’re not totally sure what’s going on, but it seems every restaurateur on the LES had the same flash of inspiration lately: oysters! There’s the Home Sweet Home and Fat Radish teams’ upcoming bivalveries, plus that other place planned for 173 Bowery, something called the Boil, and not to mention newcomers Nor East Clam Shack and Grey Lady. Well, now Time Out’s giant fall preview has it that Rob Shamlian (Spitzer’s) is branching out with his own slurp spot, Tiny Fork, at 167 Orchard. Seems the streets of downtown will soon be paved with oyster shells once again. [TONY, Earlier, Earlier]
