Fishy steakhouse (or is it beefy seafood house?) chain Ocean Prime has its sights set on the space at 15th and Sansom that was left vacant after Roy’s exited in 2010. A rep for the company, which has other OP locations in cities such as Atlanta, Dallas, Orlando and Detroit, tells Grub that the Philly outpost will be number 11. A forthcoming spot in Houston will be its tenth. In Philly, Ocean Prime will seat upwards of 260 guests in its dining rooms. The two-story restaurant will also sport a private dining room, and a lounge with a bar. Though seafood restaurants here have been an endangered species in recent years, the recent closing of nearby Buca di Beppo shows Philly’s restaurant-goers may not be so keen on chains. An opening is expected in spring of 2013.
