Lucifer’s Pizza, the four-year-old restaurant already known to Los Feliz diners for serving flame-cooked pies with an adjustable level of heat (from zero to blazing), officially opens today on Melrose, west of La Brea next to M Cafe de Chaya, following its soft launch this past weekend. This second location of Kiwi owner Adam Borich’s pizza doubles down on the locavore black magic, which finds staffers skipping the processed ingredients for natural produce, roasting chicken in house, and using whole strips of bacon rather than some weird-o, half-stepping pork product.

The new Lucifer

The new store, still merging the pleasures of pizza with a lite dose of Satan-worship, bears an old-world pizza parlor look lined with vintage movie posters, black and white subway tiles, tables made from old gas pipes and recycled redwood, with a little outdoor seating and a spare pitchfork for chasing monsters, to boot.

Following this opening, Borich plans to refurbish his original location. The new Lucifer’s is open daily from noon to 10:00 P.M., with delivery within a two-mile radius. See the full menu, with perpetual intonations of the word “fresh,” right here.
