Chef Justin Deering Taking Over at 15 Romolo

Since the closing of Conduit in 2010, chef Justin Deering has spent much of his time in the kitchen at Café Des Amis, as chef de cuisine under Ed Carew and Gordon Drysdale. Now he’s heading over to popular North Beach watering hole and brunch spot 15 Romolo to remake the menu. Details are scarce, but the Basque-inspired dishes from departing chef Larry Piaskowy will presumably be going away, and Deering’s menu is likely to stay cocktail- and wine-friendly, as SFoodie reports. We’ll update you when we get a hold of Deering’s new menu, and meanwhile Piaskowy is moving on to concentrate on his new line of pre-made bar foods in jars called Bar Jars, marketed to bars without kitchens.
