An exciting prospect hit Pinterest last night, sounding like a bit of a wet dining dream. Called "Kosher Pig," the fantasy project is billed as a gourmet market and bar with handmade pasta and charcuterie from Jeremy Fox and Cube buyer Rachael Sheridan, coming in "late fall 2013." After rubbing our eyes raw, we reached out to chef Fox, who had to burst our bubble at the prospect for some more sacrilicious cuisine, telling Grub Street, "Kosher Pig has been a long-time dream of mine, but honestly right now it’s just ideas down on paper, as I am fully devoted to Barnyard Venice."
He’s referring, of course, to his new restaurant coming very soon to Venice, serving the former Ubuntu and Plum chef’s rustic, affordable small plates. Until Kosher Pig appears, we’ll be sharing the porky dream with Mr. Fox.
