Our “other Top Chef Jen,” Jen Zavala, who we noted recently turned up in the kitchen at Fishtown’s Interstate Draft House, is the latest to get whisked in Farmers’ Cabinet’s perpetually turning revolving door. The restaurant’s media and events liaison sent word of the addition to the tumultuous kitchen’s roster. You’ll recall the Cabinets’ experienced quite a bit of turnover — it’s now on its fourth chef since opening in March 2011. The announcement came with the cryptic caveat of “calls regarding her involvement will not be taken,” but there’s a promise of details to come. In the meantime, Zavala and her Cherrybomb Bus homegirl Christina Clark, are bringing their women of the industry party, Hen’s Revenge, to Prohibition Taproom tonight.

The evening, which is not meant to be an anti-dude, but rather an encouraging booster for women who work in kitchens, will bring food, and music to the Eraserhood watering hole. The fun starts at 10 p.m.

Also on the move is Andrew Brown, the chef who opened the popular Midtown Village Greek restaurant Opa, and worked closely with owners George Tsiouris’ and Vasiliki Tsiouris’ mother to develop its menu. George Tsiouris sent word this morning that Brown’s last day will be August 31. Sous chef James Wells will succeed him at the kitchen’s helm. There’s no word at the moment where Brown’s going next.
