Talk about getting off track! An audit shows that Amtrak loses about $80 million a year on food, and that in the last ten years, they’ve lost $834 million! One factor is that employees are eating the inventory, but as one worker testified, they deserve it! “You may just see us handing out hamburgers, but we do other things.” [NYT]
