Results are in from The Spirited Awards, the “Oscars of of the bartending world” held this past weekend as part of the tenth annual Tales of the Cocktail in New Orleans. L.A. won big this year, as Cedd Moses’ Downtown favorite The Varnish took home the blue ribbon for “Best American Cocktail Bar,” leading to an after-hours victory party that Food Republic notes as “rowdy.” That is, shortly before its writer blacked out.
