Scugnizzi, Bringing Cheapo Carbs to Arlington, Opens Tonight

Is it too hot for pizza?
Is it too hot for pizza?

Arlington’s Buona Vita transforms into a brand-new Italian restaurant this evening called, you guessed it, Scugnizzi. The website looks friendly (even if it appears to have been designed in 1996), and the prices are 1996-ish cheap too!

We were kind of dismayed when we first heard the news, because Arlington has approximately 752 sub shops, but this establishment appears to be a cut above. Check it out: An array of pastas for under $10, subs for $4.95, and a big selection of Neapolitan pizzas. They’ve also retained a few old (pricier) favorites from BV. The takeover seems amicable enough, since there’s lots of Buona Vita photos on Scugnizzi’s Facebook page. Oh, and they deliver!

They open(ed) at 4 p.m, per BRT.

Scugnizzi, 450 Mass Ave., Arlington, 781-641-4734
