Sillcocks
Piccino chef Rachel Sillcocks announced last month that she’d be leaving her post, after a year of all-around accolades, reportedly because she was burned out and need a break. Now the Scoop brings word that Sillcocks has landed a plum spot as new chef de cuisine at Range, and after finishing up at Piccino last week, she’s only taking a week off before putting an apron back on and starting work sometime next week. She’ll be changing the menu somewhat, but she says that she and executive chef-partner Phil West have “similar sensibilities.” Maybe she can help the place earn back its former Michelin star?
