Beware the Perils of Pinkberry Addiction!

Perhaps you have experimented with Pinkberry, the stupidly popular frozen yogurt that exploded in SoCal in the last decade, and has only very slowly crept up toward San Francisco, with the nearest location at Terminal 2 at SFO. Well, we warned you before but we’ll tell you again: Pinkberry is opening their first San Francisco shop on Friday the 13th. Yes, that’s right, this Friday, on the O’Farrell Street side of Macy’s. And those of you prone to needing your fixes of Sushirritos or Hot Cookies had better be prepared for a new and possibly dangerous addiction.

In this funny little video, a man is introduced to the tangy wonders of Pinkberry only to descend, by about the 2:00 mark, into a foil-covered-windowed, meth-den-like hovel where he not only shovels the stuff in his mouth in secret, but actually starts smoking it too. It’s a little long as web videos go, but we hope you’ll treat it like a PSA, and warn your friends.

Oh, and one more thing: Pray that the theme song doesn’t get stuck in your head.

Pinkberry opens Friday at 10 a.m. at 170 O’Farrell Street, and they’ll have six flavors on tap to start: Original, Chocolate, Peanut Butter, Mango, Watermelon, and Strawberry.
