Bowery Diner ran into a roadblock last night when it tried to get approval for an alteration of its liquor license at Community Board 3’s SLA committee meeting. Chair Alexandra Militano noted that a new block association had expressed concern last month about the 24-hour eatery’s pending app for a sidewalk café. The committee then decided to hold the diner’s application over for another month so Bowery’s operators can speak to the fledgling neighborhood group. Here’s hoping they can make outdoor seating happen before cold weather sets in.
