Okay, we can totally share Mozza’s Matt Molina with O.C. sans envy, just as long as they continue to do cool stuff like this. On Sunday, August 5, the recent James Beard winning chef will join 14 other notable O.C. chefs at Newport’s Dunes Resort for Pig Out 1.0, a pork-centered food event organized by 100Eats100Days.com and Laguna Beach chef Amar Santana of Broadway restaurant.
Each of the fifteen chefs will prepare their own pork dishes over three hours, with help from some of the region’s craft cocktail makers, live music, raffles, and other such tasting event fodder, with proceeds going to C-CAP. In addition to Molina, expect chefs including Greg Daniels from Haven, Justin Miller from Pizza Ortica, Ryan O’Melveny from Five Crowns, Seakyong Kim of Charlie Palmer, and The Loft at Montage Laguna Beach’s Casey Overton, along with bartenders from Side Door, Napa Rose, and 320 Main, among others.
