Space 1026, the creative community that’s tucked away on two floors of an Chinatown highrise, is promising to bring the sights, smells and tastes indigenous to South Philly indoors tonight. They’re doing it with help from, and in honor of hometown hot dog illustrator Hawk Krall. He’s opening an exhibit there tonight of new works that will be on display throughout the rest of the month. On display will be recent drawings — most black and white — that are inspired by the everyday life on the blocks that run south of Center City. There will be frosty beers, tomato pie imported from Conshohoken, but no images of hot dogs. The opening kicks off at 7 p.m.
