Top Chef Masters Contestant Chris Cosentino Says TV Is ‘a Necessary Evil’

San Francisco offal expert Chris Cosentino is going to be representing the Bay on the fourth season of Top Chef Masters, which premieres July 25. The Contra Costa Times sat down with him this week to talk about all the many projects he’s working on — that comic book he helped write, in case you were wondering, is due out this fall. He says the reason he’s done so much food TV in the last few years is that it’s now “a necessary evil in this business.” As for the charity he’ll be competing for, it’s the Michael J. Fox Foundation, because Parkinson’s is a disease that has impacted both his family and that of some close friends. [CC Times]
