Yesterday we shared a historic shot of Bi-Rite Market on 18th Street in 1947, and today we bring you their future. Here, for the first time, is a rendering of what the new 550 Divisadero location will look like, as proposed to the Planning Commission. The store is going to be about 500 square feet bigger than their flagship location, and open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Bi-Rite owner Sam Mogannam goes before Planning on Thursday, and so far, according to Haighteration, no letters of protest or support have been filed. Bi-Rite is asking supporters to show up for the hearing, however, and voice their love. [Haighteration] Correction: Bi-Rite informs us that they received 60 letters and emails in support of the project.
