Best Pizza’s Pizzaiolo Goes ‘North of Brooklyn’

Momofuku’s David Chang isn’t the only local chef opening in Toronto this August: turns out that Frank Pinello, brick-oven pizzaiolo and co-owner of Best Pizza in Williamsburg, is partnering with a local to open a fifteen-seat restaurant called North of Brooklyn early next month. Expect the same made-in-house aesthetic, where red sauces are made, not poured from a can. For purely selfish reasons, we’re hoping the new, North-South restaurant project will yield another hybrid-type pizza, and we’ll be able to add Torontopolitan to the list of styles that includes the newly christened Wiscopolitan.
