Brendan Sodikoff’s empire isn’t letting matzoh balls grow under its feet. Bavette’s Bar & Boeuf, the next Frenchy-French-sounding spot in the Sodikoff juggernaut, will open sometime this month. Less than six months after its own opening, Au Cheval, his diner-meets-French-brothel-indulgent-diner-food-and-vinyl-music concept, has its eyes on London. And the best-known chef in the Sodikoff battalion, Alinea vet Jeff Pikus, has moved up to help facilitate these moves. Pikus had been the chef of Maude’s Liquor Bar, but he’s now ascended to overseeing food for all of the group’s projects and mentoring the other chefs in the group. As for Maude’s, it’s continuing under Dustin Tripp, who has been on staff under Pikus since it opened. [312DiningDiva]
