DC’s Amsterdam Falafel is now open for business in Davis Square, Somerville, occupying the former space of Diva Lounge. According to their facebook page the falafel purveyor had a soft preview opening this past weekend for fans who knew the DC operation. As of yesterday they are open to the public. Get ready for the condiment bar!
The Boston Chowhound boards are buzzing with praise, especially for the much-talked about condiments bar. A Chowhounder calls the bar “extensive” and lauds “the chopped jalapeno, chopped tomato relish, delicious yogurt sauce, cuke salad, or the hot pepper relish” as well as the exciting sounding “curry mustard and garlic mayo.” Another Chowhounder who went to the preview said the new shop “did a good job keeping the food true to the DC operation.” I’m sold.
