Is New York ready for the full-on return of literary salons? You can order a corpse reviver at the newly reanimated Algonquin bar before joining the likes of Junot Díaz and Elizabeth Gilbert at the rebooted round table, and last month, Má Pêche launched a literati power lunch of its own. And Alison Eighteen will tomorrow night debut its new dinner and lively talk series The Pen & The Plate. Writers Meg Wolitzer and Kurt Andersen will read from their latest novels, then make the rounds among the 50 guests seated in the Flatiron restaurant’s downstairs dining room. Diners will make headway through three-course meals and the complexities of third-person collective at the same time. The new series runs through the fall. So raise your glass, and voice, and let the great conversation flow. [DNAinfo, Earlier]
