A toast to two of our favorite Lower East Side haunts, which just added booze: Yunnan Kitchen received its wine-and-beer license and is now pouring Tsing Tao, $4 Narragansett, and smoky German Schlenkerla Helles (among others), the better to pair with summery cool beef rolls. Meanwhile, Zoë (home of the killer sweet buns) added a full liquor license and cocktail menu designed with help from Little Branch and Silver Lining vet Cervantes Ramirez. Look for an aqua fresca made with mint, cucumber, celery, and mescal, or a brunchtime pineapple-and-rum drink served in a coconut. Proprietress-chef Zoë Feigenbaum also tells us she’s experimenting with carbonated cocktails, though “my Fernet experiment resulted in a minor explosion.”
