The Sweet Peach Diner, Bringing Down-Home Food to Belmont, Opens This Week

The sad saga of the Andros Diner has a happy ending at last! The Belmont hangout was seized by the state awhile back due to pesky unpaid taxes. But it’s been reborn as a Southern-style diner called Sweet Peach, hopefully opening this week after a few delays (things do move a little bit slower in the South).

A full menu isn’t online yet, but they’ve been teasing Facebook followers with descriptions of bad-for-you things like Southern pulled pork eggs Benedict topped with BBQ hollandaise.

Between this and the new M3 in Davis Square (meat ‘n three, pig’s ear sandwiches), the western outskirts just got a lot more Southern.
