We hear Southeast Asian–influenced Yunnan food is having a moment even in China, so it makes sense that we’re seeing more of it in NYC as well. On his blog Eating in Translation, ethnic foods honcho Dave Cook alerts us to another spot slinging the province’s delicacies, this one a stall in the New World Mall in Flushing. The chef is from Yunnan’s capital, Kunming, and he’s turning out “crossing the bridge noodles,” which we also sampled at Lotus Blue. Griddle-cooked veggies, meat, and seafood get a shower of the chef’s Yunnanese spice mix, Cook writes. Regional Chinese nerds, add this one to your list. [Eating in Translation, Related, Related]
